It’s time to appreciate plum blossoms as local varieties begin to bloom. In addition, 2023 Suzhou Taihu Lake Plum Blossom Festival will kick off soon.
The 2023 edition of the festival will be held in four scenic spots that abound with plum blossoms, namely Xiangxuehai香雪海 in Guangfu Town, Linwu Cave林屋洞 in Jinting Town, Yuhuashengjing雨花胜境 in Dongshan Town, and Yuyang Mountain渔洋山, coupled with a series of special activities.
Xiangxuehai
Xiangxuehai is an age-old spot for plum blossom appreciation in China with remarkable cultural inheritance. Activities including a fair, tea tasting sessions, a bonsai exhibition, and Han-style clothing parades will be held.
Linwu Cave
Dubbed “the world’s No. 9 cave,” Linwu Cave is surrounded by various kinds of plum blossoms. Visitors can enjoy the special fair and exhibition, taste tea, participate in the short-video recording, and even write love poems.
Yuhuashengjing
Featuring a myriad of ancient bridges, houses and trees, Yuhuashengjing is one of the oldest places in Dongshan Town. Visitors can stroll around the fairyland, enjoy Han-style clothing parades, make their own fans, and participate in various interesting games.
Yuyang Mountain
Yuyang Mountain has three sides facing the Taihu Lake, and boasts the only cable car in Taihu Lake area. It will feature tea art experiencing, blessings and other festive activities.
