An exhibit on the culture of Kunqu opera was held at Guimet Gallery in Paris, France on September 14.
Divided into four components, particularly “Ancestor of Hundred Operas,” “One-of-a-kind Beauty of Kunqu Opera,” “Kunqu Opera in Contemporary Era as well as World,” and “Birth Place of Kunqu Opera”, the event offered a view of Kunqu opera, as well as the combination of the opera right into the contemporary globe.

The exhibit consisted of a large number of unusual write-ups of Kunqu opera, including 30 pieces of masks for popular characters such as Lu Zhishen, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu and Zhou Cang as well as seldom-seen functions like Dong Zhuo, the phony Li Kui and Fuchai of Wu.
The event belongs to the Jiangsu Week of Kunqu Opera held in Paris.
