US students discover Chinese culture at Suzhou classical garden

Over 40 American middle school students got here in Suzhou on third July and checked out the Structure Study in the Master of the Nets Yard.

In 1978, at the invite of renowned designer I.M. Pei, Professor Chen Congzhou, an architectural historian from Tongji University, traveled to the USA to make a Chinese timeless yard for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, referred to as Ming Xuan, or Astor Court. The layout of the garden is based upon the Structure Research Study, or Dian Chun Yi.

The Structure Research, located in the northwest corner of the Caixia Fish Pond in the Master of the Nets Yard, features a research study, a pavilion, a spring, rockeries, and different flowers and plants.
