Over 40 American middle school students got here in Suzhou on third July and checked out the Structure Study in the Master of the Nets Yard.
In 1978, at the invite of renowned designer I.M. Pei, Professor Chen Congzhou, an architectural historian from Tongji University, traveled to the USA to make a Chinese timeless yard for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, referred to as Ming Xuan, or Astor Court. The layout of the garden is based upon the Structure Research Study, or Dian Chun Yi.
The Structure Research, located in the northwest corner of the Caixia Fish Pond in the Master of the Nets Yard, features a research study, a pavilion, a spring, rockeries, and different flowers and plants.
Student Kai shan was overruning with excitement, “Suzhou is an awesome city, it’s an ideal mix of modernity and abundant social heritage. The consistency between the two is genuinely captivating.” He concerns the Metropolitan Museum of Art as an important resource for obtaining understandings right into Chinese culture. “Although Ming Xuan supplies a comparable experience, nothing beats the credibility of visiting the real website. I can’t wait to share this with my friends.”
Lizzy, who traveled to Suzhou to immerse herself in standard Chinese customizeds, expressed her fascination with discovering the unique contrasts in between American and Chinese values. She was especially curious concerning the one-of-a-kind characteristics of Chinese yards, contrasting them to the Ming Xuan show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During her exploration, she came across some captivating functions, including serene courtyards and expansive ponds, which left her deeply satisfied.
Timeless yards stand for the ideal home in the hearts of old people. Increasingly more Chinese classic yards like Ming Xuan are “settling” overseas, such as the Garten von Duft und Pracht in Germany, Dr. Sunlight Yat-sen Classical Chinese Yard in Canada, Bonsai Garden in Singapore, and Chinese Scholar’s Garden, Lan Su Chinese Garden and Garden of Flowing Fragrance in the US.
