Willow and poplar catkins are wafting through the air these days and many people may find them annoying. To help you fend off the fluttering catkins, we have prepared a protection guide.
1
Go out when there are fewer catkins. More catkins can be seen between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those who are sensitive should avoid going out during this period.
2
Take protective measures. When going out, wear long-sleeved clothing, masks and glasses if possible. After returning home, wash hands and face and clean the catkins adhering to your clothes and skin in time.
3
Try to air your clothes indoors. A large number of catkins may adhere to your clothes if you air them outdoors.
4
Take precautions in advance. Those who suffer from rhinitis or are allergic to catkins are advised to clean their nasal cavity two to three times per day or take preventive anti-allergic drugs.
5
Keep a healthy diet. Those who are sensitive should have food rich in vitamin C and E such as Chinese cabbages, tomatoes, carrots and oranges.
