The exhibition features a total of 54 oil paintings that cover portrait, still-life and landscape, all representing the unique charm of the orient.
SIP Illustration Art Show

The show has collected a total of 389 illustrations from across the country, 60 of which are now on exhibition in SIP.
The 2nd Suzhou Jinji Lake Composition Competition
Commission Concert II

First held in 2018, the Suzhou Jinji Lake Composition Competition invites composers from around the world to write music inspired by the city of Suzhou. It embraces original works that embed traditional Suzhou-style cultural and musical elements into western symphonies. All the six compositions shortlisted for the final in 2021 will be performed live by Suzhou Symphony Orchestra during the commission concert.
Every Moment

The contemporary dance work “Every Moment” is going to be staged in Suzhou. The piece, led by Hua Xiaoyi, explores the identities of women. Three choreographers are involved with the project, including the well-known British dancer, Akram Khan. The production has gathered together top talent from around the world, including the UK, the Netherlands, and South Korea.

Deep in Memory is a dance drama showing the atrocities of the Nanjing Massacre. The piece is inspired by the book, “The Rape of Nanking”, by Chinese-American writer Iris Chang. The production probes through that period of history through real figures like John Rabe and Minnie Vautrin. The brutal crime against humanity, and one of the darkest pages in human history, is reincarnated on stage.
