Recently multiple museums in Suzhou have announced their plans for more opening times during the summer vacation. These museums will extend their opening times by several hours at night on Fridays and Saturdays which could let people can have more choices.
Suzhou Museum
Opening Time: 9 am to 9 pm (no admission after 8 pm), by reservation only
Opening Venues: Suzhou Museum (including the exhibition halls, gift shop, coffee shop, wisteria garden and also the rockery and pond courtyard; Children’s Experience Center and Zhongwang Mansion are not including.)
Suzhou Museum of Opera and Theater
Opening Time: 9am to 8:30pm (no admission after 8pm, closes at 8:30pm)
Opening Venues: (after 5 pm) China Kunqu Opera Museum (including Ming and Qing Kunqu Opera exhibition area, Late-Qing Kunqu Opera exhibition area, ancient theatrical stage, grand hall, etc.), China Suzhou Pingtan Museum (1st floor, including Shanghai Characteristic Street, “Deep in Wuyuan” story-telling venue, etc.)
Suzhou Museum of Inscribed Stone Tablets
Opening Time: 9 am to 8 pm (no admission after 7:30 pm), by reservation only
Opening Venues: (after 4:30 pm) Suzhou Museum of Inscribed Stone Tablets (including Dacheng Hall, Deshan Academy); there will be “Confucian Temple amid Sunset’s Glow” series of social education activities.
Suzhou Silk Museum
Opening Time: 9 am to 8:30 pm (no admission after 8 pm), no requirements for reservation
Opening Venues: History Hall, Suzhou Silk Museum
Apart from the museums above, up to 35 A-level scenic spots in Suzhou might also launch series of night tours and performance activities. There will be open more night markets and food courts too(check the list below).
