A conference on promoting the nighttime economy was held in Suzhou. It is reported that Suzhou will further develop its nighttime economy in the second half of this year and roll out more relevant programs.
Sleepless Su Lun Plaza
Based on its historical stories, the plaza will create four major themes, including “reminiscing about 100-year history”, “strolling around the ancient city”, “tasting Jiangnan culture”, and “admiring light show”.
What’s more, it will join hands with Shanghai Sinan Mansions and Xintiandi to promote the integration and exchanges of brands in Shanghai and Suzhou. Sleepless Su Lun Plaza is scheduled to go into trial operation in mid-September.
Guanqian Street
The program “Glorious Guanqian Street” will launch two brands — “On Guanqian Street” and “Beautiful Pingjiang Road“, and place emphasis on seven hot spots, including Xuanmiao Taoist Temple, the 2nd Guanqian Beer Festival, Small Park market, coordination among hundreds of stores, Guanqian Parlor, Dongshengli Gallery, and Golden Valley Art Block. Guanqian Parlor is currently under construction and will be put into use before August 31.
Suzhou Tourism Season
Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism will roll out the “Six Hundred” project, namely Hundreds of Outlets for Information, Hundreds of Performances, Hundreds of Articles, Hundreds of Pictures, Hundreds of High-quality Items, and Interaction among Hundreds of Cities, in a bid to help you discover a new Suzhou in autumn.
Subway Night
“Gusu 8:30 p.m.: Subway Night” will introduce subway mystery boxes, role-playing murder mystery activities, short video competitions, and live-streamed sales events to offer you endless fun.
Media Night
Media Night Season 2 will feature stage performances, open-air movie theaters, live-streamed sales events, exhibitions, among others, and will present such topics as Jiangnan culture, Made in Suzhou, etc. in a series of innovative forms.
Sports + Night Market
As Mid-autumn Festival, National Day holiday, and Double 12 Shopping Festival approach, Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Sports will host a number of sports-related night market events, providing residents with various sports services and products.
Suzhou will also hold more than 30 competitions at provincial-level or above since September. Residents can expect to watch marathons, sailing, rock climbing, ice hockey, handball and many other sports.
