An airport terminal launched by Sunan Shuofang International Airport and Suzhou was inaugurated in SND yesterday, and the long-awaited Suzhou City Terminal in SIP will officially open tomorrow.
The SND terminal苏州高新区城市航站楼 has two self-service check-in machines and a VIP lounge, and provides chartered car service. There are seven buses running from SND to Shuofang Airport daily, and one trip only costs about 30 minutes.
Suzhou City Terminal苏州城市航站楼 is initiated by SIP and Shanghai Airport Group. The first floor is for basic check-in procedures, and the second floor has a VIP service area and a commercial area. The terminal is an one-stop service center integrating flight inquiry, check-in, pre-checks of luggage, and quick security checks for passengers. It also provides charted buses, VIP channels and other value-added services.
Passengers now can take airport chartered buses at three designated pick-up spots in the city, i.e. the north square of Suzhou Coach Station北广场汽车站候机楼, Suzhou City Terminal, and the SND terminal, or at their preferred spots in the downtown area. Currently, the daily number of bus trips from Suzhou to Hongqiao and Pudong airports totals 55, with an average of 363 passengers each day; and the daily number of bus trips to Shuofang Airport reaches 35, with an average of 280 passengers each day.
