The 2nd XJTLU International Fair, endorsed by Suzhou International Day 2023, is set to take place on Saturday, May 13.
This year’s theme “Let’s Connect” aims to foster connections between people and the XJTLU community and provide more opportunities for people to connect and create a vibrant international atmosphere for XJTLU students, staff, and the local community. The XJTLU and local resident communities can enjoy events and activities together at the University’s South Campus Central Lake area 西交利物浦大学(南校区)from 16:00 to 20:00.
The public is welcome to the outdoor party, which will include musical performances; a dance performance; a DJ show; the launch of Light & Wings e-magazine; an international photography exhibition; henna tattoos; face painting; Thai, Cuban and Polish food; and drinks. All events and activities, except for food and drinks, are free of charge.
During Warm-up, you can try henna tattoos or face painting or check out the international photography exhibition; enjoy Jammala, a band from Shanghai inspired by traditional West African drum music, which is composed of members from Japan, China and other countries
The live band Take 5 is a dynamic group of five students from different countries who create music that blends their diverse backgrounds.
The Salsa dance performance will start at 5:30 pm.
The music performance will be staged by a band whose lead singer is Daisuke Yamaguchi, a lecturer from XJTLU’s School of Languages.
Besides, concurrent activities will include henna tattoos, face painting, drumming, and a photography exhibition.
