The draw ceremony and press conference of TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 were held in Suzhou in 25th March afternoon. A total of 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four teams.
Relevant information including the slogan, the mascot and the emblem was also announced at the draw ceremony.

There are two mascots named Gugu and Susu respectively, which, combined together, means Gusu, the former name of Suzhou.
Philatelic Items
Philatelic items related to this Sudirman Cup were also launched, which include postcards, stamp albums, postmarks and stampfolders. They will be sold simultaneously at the postal outlets across Suzhou as well as at the on-site theme post office during the competition.

2023 Sudirman Cup is slated to kick off at Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre苏州奥体中心on May 14. Ticket sales will start on April 6.
As Thomas & Uber Cup was held in the city in 2016, Suzhou now becomes one of the two cities around the world that have hosted both the tournaments.
