*Indian Summer (or Qiu Lao Hu, literally Autumn Tiger) refers to a short period of warm, dry weather after the dog days (sanfu days) end. It normally comes in late August and early September and lasts about 7 to 15 days. In meteorological sense, it refers in particular to the continuous hot weather after the second solar term in autumn — End of Heat.
