10 Smart Driving Demonstration Lines
C-V2X Pilot Application Practice Event kicked off in Suzhou High-Speed Rail New Town yesterday.
Suzhou High-Speed Rail New Town has been granted the city’s first batch of license plates for road tests of self-driving vehicles and is among the first to roll out a smart driving program across the province, with a range of self-driving scenarios and various vehicle models. A series of demonstration applications, including Robobus, Robotaxi, unmanned distribution, unmanned environmental sanitation, etc., have been piloted in this area. By 2023, it will have built 10 smart driving demonstration lines with continuous scenarios and rich experiences.
Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-speed Railway
The construction of Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-speed Railway will begin this year, and its preliminary work is well underway.
Upon completion, the railway will link several administrative divisions in Suzhou, and greatly shorten the distance from North and Central Suzhou and Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area to Hangzhou metropolitan area, closely connecting Suzhou with costal cities in North and South China.
Wujiang T1 Demonstration Line
Wujiang T1 Demonstration Line will officially go into operation on October 30, through which passengers can go direct to Tongli Ancient Town.
There are five stations on the 5.1-kilometer-long line, namely Tongli Station, Huxindonglu Station, Yunlilu Station, Damiaolu Station, and Tongli Ancient Town Station. Passengers can transfer from Suzhou Rail Transit Line 4 to the demonstration line via Tongli Station, and get off at Tongli Ancient Town Station to reach the north gate of Tongli Scenic Area.
