Suzhou will experience a new round of sunny and scorching days this week as Songda, the fifth typhoon this year, is leaving eastern China.
The Suzhou Meteorological Bureau issued a yellow heat alert (the lowest level) at 9:34 this morning, a warning that the highest temperature between August 1 and 3 across the city would top 35 degrees Celsius.
Please avoid outdoor exercises in the daytime, drink enough water, refrain from eating too many ice creams, and keep cigarette lighters, sunglasses and other flammable items out of vehicles.
