Colorful Suzhou — Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Painting

The exhibition will display a total of 117 works by seven Suzhou local artists and 17 nonlocal artists, showcasing an array of Suzhou attractions, including Ten Sceneries of Grand Canal and Suzhou classical gardens.

teamLab hosted their first large exhibition at Miraikan in 2015, which attracted over 500,000 visitors. After four years of arrangements and preparation, teamLab’s new project Future Park will make its debut in Suzhou.

Exhibition of Selected Treasurable Collection from Suzhou Pingtan Museum (2015-2020)

Suzhou Pingtan Museum of China (Suzhou Opera Museum) has accumulatively restored over 6,000 sets of opera and quyi antiques since 2015, including a considerable amount of ancient books on pingtan, former collection of noted artistic and academic figures. The exhibition, made up of two parts, is designed to showcase the very essence of the collection to the public.

The 2nd Suzhou Jinji Lake Composition Competition

Founded in 2016, the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra comprises more than 70 musicians with an average age of 30, who hail from China and 18 other countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, and the United States. First held in 2018, the competition invites composers from around the world to write music inspired by the city of Suzhou.
