The First Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week features an array of cultural and art exchange activities, such as China-France Symphony Night, French Literature Reading Week, China-France Cultural Fair, and China-France Food Week. Splendid China: Traditional Weaving, Dyeing and Embroidering Art and Life Exhibition

Venue: Shengze Cultural Center
The exhibition gathers outstanding works of traditional weaving, dyeing and embroidering art, presents Wujiang silk and weaving project, and demonstrates local customs and practices through Xiaoman opera, a local opera performed for auspicious purposes at Xiaoman (or Grain Full, one of the 24 solar terms), and other live performances, showing the image of the silk center in Jiangnan to the public.
The Fourth National Biennale of Chinese Painting
Time: October 23 to November 5
Venue: Suzhou Chinese Painting Institute
A total of 260 works from all over the country are on display. The painters are not only famous and master artists with huge influence at home and broad, but also a group of pioneering and innovative young artists.
Looking Back Fifty Years·Selected Cultural Collections Unearthed from Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs

2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the excavation of Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs. Availing this opportunity, Suzhou Museum well selected more than 160 cultural relics of various categories, including lacquerwares, woodwares, painted potteries, silk paintings, silk manuscripts, bamboo slips, silk fabrics, artifacts made of ivories and horns, wood figures, animal and plant specimens, to present a majestic and colorful material and spiritual picture of the Western Han Dynasty.
