Ramin Karimloo is a Canadian actor, singer and composer recognized for his work in London’s West End and Broadway theatre. He has played the leading male roles in both of the West End’s longest running musicals: the Phantom and Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny in The Phantom of the Opera, and Jean Valjean, Enjolras, and Marius Pontmercy in Les Misérables.

Miss Dong: Special exhibition of Miss Dong’s cultural relics

In collaboration with ten museums, the exhibition will probe into the femininity of ten women surnamed Dong in ancient China.

Same & Different – Exhibition of Pastel Paintings by Young and Middle-aged Chinese Painters

Visitors can expect to experience a marvelous blend of 24 Solar Terms, Suzhou culture, folk customs, paintings and ancient books. 

The Modern History of Silk Industry in Suzhou

Time: May 18 to August 31, 2022
Venue: Suzhou Silk Museum

The exhibition provides a panoramic view of silk industry in Suzhou from the early 20th century. Visitors can expect to learn about the development of modern silk industry in the past 100 years. 

Covered into Wood Huang Yongyu’s Prints Exhibition

Venue: Contemporary Art Galleries, Suzhou Museum
Date: May 18 – July 24

The exhibition displays a total of 78 pieces (sets) of woodblock prints and woodcut blocks of Mr. Huang Yongyu in a span of half a century from 1940s to 1990s. The exhibits mainly cover woodblock illustrations of classic literary works, including fictions, poems and fables, as well as some intriguing and lifelike printmaking portraits and a series of topics reflecting the major social events and development of the People’s Republic of China.
