Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism is planning to include 22 scenic spots across the province in the first batch of provincial-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters of Jiangsu. A total of three Suzhou nighttime scenic spots made it to the list.
Jinji Lake Scenic Area
As a national 5A-level scenic area and the core area of the country’s first National Business Tourism Demonstration Zone, Jinji Lake Scenic Area showcases the fashionable and vibrant side of Suzhou.
With 26 large carriers of cultural and tourism business and over 1700 tourism-related businesses, Jinji Lake Scenic Area is able to provide residents and tourists with colorful cultural and tourism experiences.
Zhouzhuang Scenic Area
“Nighttime Zhouzhuang” covers an area of 3.51 sq km, including 1.5 sq km of core business area. As one of the first batch of ten historical and cultural towns in China, one of the first batch of national 5A-level scenic areas and a national cultural industry demonstration base, Zhouzhuang Scenic Area owns 1050 business entities, including 235 cultural and entertainment projects, 80 percent of which are operated at night.
Guanqian Street
Stretching 780 meters from east to west and 748 meters from north to south, Guanqian Street is famous for its nighttime culture and tourism, and is the center of the ancient city of Suzhou.
So far, Suzhou has rolled out 10 nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters:
Jiangnan ancient town:
Tongli, Zhouzhuang, Mudu
Special street:
Qinchuan Ta Nong, Yangshe Ancient Street,
Guanqian Street, Nan Yang Hui
Business district:
Jinji Lake, Shishan Mountain, Vitality Island
