Suzhou Tianping Mountain Scenic Area has been closed for renovation since this April. The construction is currently in its phase-out period, and the area is scheduled to reopen in mid-to-late September.
The scenic area has just finished the intelligent upgrade and transformation of its main entrance, which now takes on a plain and elegant look with Chinese characteristics. The eight ticket gates situated at the entrance will largely improve traffic efficiency.
The first priority of the renovation project is to optimize the layout and tour routes. The scenic area now owns three routes for appreciating maples, visiting historical sites, and climbing the mountain, connecting a total of seven functional areas, including Maple-appreciating Area, Leisure, and Education Area, Mountain-climbing Area, Imperial Footpath Area, Delicacy Area, etc.
Visitors can enter the scenic area through the main entrance and get to the core area in a more convenient way.
Besides, five sets of intelligent sprinkler systems have been added to take care of 33 ancient maple trees which are over 400 years old.
