A miniature Jiangnan ancient town created by 20 teachers of Wang Sen Education Group with fondant has gone viral on the Internet recently.
It took half a month and superb skills to make the model. The mini ancient town, built in the 1:200 scale, is composed of 10 main buildings and three bridges, adding up to six meters in length, 0.8 meters in width, and 0.3 meters in height.
Many of the materials of historic buildings were analyzed before the manufacturing process kicked off. Besides, the teachers have visited several ancient towns in Suzhou in search of inspiration.
Thousands of roof tiles are well-arranged after being molded and aired. The limpid water is made from isomalt while the fish is drawn with colorant. The size of various accessories and decorations, such as tea sets, door locks, and stone benches, was decided after numerous tests. The overall hue has been adjusted by professional art teachers to present an authentic feeling.
This special ancient town has encapsulated the characteristics of the Jiangnan area, added many innovative features while recreating the fine view, and adopted all kinds of culinary skills to showcase the beautiful traditional Chinese culture.
